XO CARE strengthens its commitment to European manufacturing
Two weeks ago, we faced a common dilemma. While selecting a supplier for a critical metal component, we had two options:
Develop the tooling in Asia at 60% lower investment and with a similar reduction in unit costs, or choose a European partner at a significantly higher cost.
We chose Europe!
Why
Because at XO CARE, our supplier decisions are guided by the same principles that have shaped our company for decades:
- We source best-in-class components for uncompromising product quality.
- We rely on close, long-term partnerships with suppliers within geographical proximity and together with whom we can continuously refine and improve our products.
- And – especially in unpredictable times – we secure a stable, resilient supply for the dentists who trust in our units every day.
A long-standing philosophy
This is not new to us.
For more than 70 years, it has been a deliberate choice to build our value chain close to home. Our ten largest suppliers are all European located in countries like Denmark, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Our production takes place entirely in Hørsholm, Denmark.
A choice beyond the product
So, when a dentist chooses one of our dental units, it’s not just a choice of quality and cutting-edge innovation. It’s also a choice to support European manufacturing. We have been proudly designing and manufacturing in Europe since 1951 – and that is a commitment we will continue to live up to.
